     Started by self-educating, Lulu Luo found her interests in photography at very early age.

     She got her first camera in freshman year and began with some landscape and still life shootings, but after she studied in Seoul, South Korea, she found the pleasure of art in portraits.
     First studying in China Women’s University, Beijing, China, majoring in Women’s Studies, at her sophomore year, Lulu Luo got the chance to study in Ewha Womans University in Seoul. That is where she first started her photography study. With artist Yujung Chang’s help and encouragement, instead of learning basic technique, she was encouraged to express herself by shooting any one subject each week and exposed to great artist work including Nan Goldin and Cindy Sherman. After studying in Seoul, she transferred to Mississippi University for Women, USA, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Photography and Women’s Studies at the same time. Her photo 1 final work awarded the first place in Photography in Student Juried Show. Currently Lulu Luo is still pursuing her art dream in America as a senior student. She is also teaching in the local art council as a photography teacher.
